Manual Handling For Carers (FBPOPR1010)

Course Overview

Many carers find that they have not gained the practical knowledge to correctly move and lift their clients before working in the field. This puts strain on their own body and puts their clients at risk.

In this one day practical hands-on course participants will learn the skills needed to safely handle the appropriate care that meet their client's needs.

 Safe handling
 Chair to chair transfer
 Slide sheets
 Use of lifters
 Use of walk belts
 Transfer to and from wheelchairs and shower chairs

This course is ran weekly (subject to demand) starting from Friday the 21st May 2021.
