About this Course
This program equips support company staff with key skills in crisis management and conflict resolution through a mix of accredited and non-accredited training. Combining theory, practical exercises, and interactive discussions, it prepares new employees to handle crises and conflicts effectively, building a resilient and well prepared workplace.
This training is delivered in a hybrid format, through both virtual learning and face to face sessions.
Virtual Learning: CHCCCS019 Recognise and respond to crisis situations
This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to recognise imminent crisis situations, work collaboratively to minimise safety concerns, and plan access to support services. Core elements include crisis identification, immediate safety response, referral to intervention services, and self-care. This unit applies to any community services worker involved in crisis intervention. Management of the crisis may involve face-to-face, telephone or remote contact with persons involved.
Upon successful completion of this unit, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for: CHCCCS019 Recognise and respond to crisis situations

What is the CURE Methodology?
CURE stands for Cause, Understanding, Response and Evaluation.
This acronym offers a simple, practical guide for support workers to manage conflict or crisis. The training provides tools to identify root causes, understand responses, apply effective interventions, and evaluate outcomes to improve future crisis management and client support.
Face to Face: Vicarious Trauma - Identification & Management Strategies for Workers Susceptible to Experiencing Vicarious Trauma
What is Vicarious Trauma?
Vicarious trauma is a process of change from empathetic engagement with trauma survivors. Anyone exposed to others' trauma—such as doctors, health professionals, and support workers—may be affected. Training covers the impact of trauma, signs of vicarious trauma, coping strategies, self-awareness, and self-care planning.
